PKP Łowicz Główny officially opened
After a little more than 2 years of work, the Łowicz Central Station has undergone a huge metamorphosis and has been opened to passengers. It impresses with its appearance and night illumination of the facade, as well as a modern and functional interior. In addition, it is environmentally friendly and welcoming to all passengers. On the facade of the older part, architectural details, including rustications, pilasters and cornices, were renovated. On the other hand, the newer one was finished with rectangular fiber-cement panels, in which a motif from a folk cut-out of the Lowicz region was reflected on the corners. New features include a clock and illuminated lettering with the name of the station and the PKP S.A. logo.

Subdued colors rule inside. They are mainly whites and grays. The lobby floor is finished with light gray stone, which contrasts with the basalt color of the wall coverings. A white slatted ceiling with linear light fixtures adds brightness to the interior. Electronic train arrival and departure boards, display cases with timetables and two clocks have been installed in the waiting room.

We delivered and commissioned our equipment to the station, including Main Station Displays, Amplifier, Controller, Loudspeaker Columns. We put into operation the Public Address System, the Fire Alarm System, the Burglary and Robbery Alarm System and the Access Control System.
The reconstruction of the Łowicz Główny train station cost a total of PLN 13.17 million gross. It was carried out as part of the Station Investment Program for 2016-2023 with PKP S.A.’s own funds.
