Gdansk Wrzeszcz railway station open for passengers

Gdańsk Wrzeszcz – railway station on the border of the districts of Lower Wrzeszcz and Upper Wrzeszcz in Gdańsk, Pomeranian Voivodeship. The station, which after two years underwent reconstruction with EU funding from the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.

The station has become a modern passenger service facility. Its appearance has also changed. The scattered extensions were replaced by a monolithic, modern and somewhat neutral building with a façade made of steel and glass. Thanks to the reconstruction, Gdańsk Wrzeszcz has also become friendly to people with disabilities, with a number of improvements, including footpaths with attention spans, signposting in Braille, tactile boards with a plan of the station and its surroundings, and signal amplification devices for hearing aids at ticket counters. Travellers with disabilities will also benefit from specially adapted toilets. To improve the safety of passengers and the building, it has been equipped with modern systems – monitoring, access control, burglary and assault alarms and fire alarms. In turn, the correct operation of all equipment and installations will be supervised by the BMS – Building Management System.

We supplied the station with our equipment including the Main Station Display, the Information Display, the Collective Station Display and the SP-SOS-WC Call System for the toilets to summon help in an emergency.
